About Us

Cub Scout Pack 134 has been serving the Rush-Henrietta area for over 44 years.  We are chartered by the Rush Fire Department.

With the school re-districting plan in the Fall, our Pack will have Cubs at Leary, Sherman, and Vollmer schools.  The Pack meets once a month, usually at the Rush Fire Hall on the 3rd Thursday of the month from September to April.  We have Pack activities planned during the school year such as a Fall camp out, the Pinewood Derby, and other outings.  We have a summer program with a Pack camp out at Mendon Ponds, parades, and sports outings (ex. Color Guard at a Red Wings game).

Our Pack has 6 Dens, made of boys from the same grade (Kindergarten to 5th Grade).  Each Den has a dedicated leader who presents both fun and valuable lessons that will help our Cubs progress in the program and in life.  They cover topics from Science and Technology to physical fitness and spirituality.  Every age group has a different program, but each year the Cubs build on previously learned information and add new skills and concepts.

But, what makes Cub Scouts truly unique is the opportunity it gives the entire family to be involved in their child’s development.  Siblings are welcomed to participate in most events. Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the Pack or Den activities, as well as to lead activities at home.  It's a busy life, but it's a good opportunity to spend high quality time with our children.
